Super Bulldog Weekend was just that--SUPER!

There is no better place than Starkville to spend a beautiful April weekend.  This one had it all--baseball, football, good food and being around nothing but great Bulldogs.  You could feel the pride every where you went.  I forgot to mention the Cotton District Arts Festival which was top-notch, too.  The highlight had to be dinner w/Saunders and Jordan for his early birthday celebration at Restaurant Tyler.  Dean was the assistant coach of the losing side of the Maroon and White game but the fun part of that event was getting together w/all my Bulldog Sisterhood friends in the Club area.  My favorite thing that happened was that the "announced attendance" was a dig at the rebs w/the number 34127. Remember the 41-and a knee to 27 score of the Egg Bowl!  Another great piece of Bulldog news that did not occur in Starkville was my friend BJ's son, Gerald Emerson, completed a half-Iron Man Triathlon this weekend in New Orleans.  I am amazed that someone could swim 1.2 miles in Lake Ponchitrain, ride a bike for some 50 miles and run 13 miles w/no food or rest.  It took him 8 hours to complete this feat and I cannot imagine anyhone being on their feet for 8 hours.
