"This is not a recorded message. This IS Rudy Gay."

Today was the deadline to renew Grizzlies tix for next year.  I called my account representative and cheerfully renewed our seats.  Little did I know that later in the day I would get a personal call from Rudy Gay, my favorite Grizzly, to thank me for renewing.  I thought it was a recorded message until he responded to my silly remark and let me know it truly WAS Rudy Gay and not a recording.  I am sure the call will be used for training purposes as people in the background were laughing out loud when he was trying to convince me it was not a recording.  What a great marketing tool for the Grizz!

Thanks for the Memories!

All Good Things Come to an End

I am so sad that our heartbreaking basketball season is over.  Thanks to seniors, Barry and Jarvis there were more good times than bad but those two losses to KY and the last one to UNC were especially rough on me and my fellow Bulldog basketball junkies.  We will miss our Tennessee Bulldogs!

The Record Setting Block

Last Week of the Regular Basketball Season

It is amazing how time flies when you are closely following a basketball team like I do.  It seems like just yesterday that I was looking forward to the beginning of practice this season.  It also seems like just yesterday that Camille and Lindsay were born.

Varnado, Stewart Win Records, State Wins Game

Varnado, Stewart Win Records, State Wins Game: "The records were certain to fall, it was merely a matter of whether Jarvis Varnado and Barry Stewart could set their standards on the home floor. Happily both Mississippi State seniors could enjoy meeting their respective marks in Humphrey Coliseum…and get it all out of the way. “Yeah, so we can concentrate on making the tournament,” said Varnado."

Jarvis Broke the Record at the Hump

In front of his family and thousands of fans, Jarvis claimed the NCAA record for blocked shots.  I will add a photo later as they show up online.  I am a happy Jarvis fan.
