Varnado, Stewart Win Records, State Wins Game

Varnado, Stewart Win Records, State Wins Game: "The records were certain to fall, it was merely a matter of whether Jarvis Varnado and Barry Stewart could set their standards on the home floor. Happily both Mississippi State seniors could enjoy meeting their respective marks in Humphrey Coliseum…and get it all out of the way. “Yeah, so we can concentrate on making the tournament,” said Varnado."

Jarvis Broke the Record at the Hump

In front of his family and thousands of fans, Jarvis claimed the NCAA record for blocked shots.  I will add a photo later as they show up online.  I am a happy Jarvis fan.

Hopefully Jarvis will break the record tomorrow night!

It's down to 8 blocks to break the all-time NCAA block record.  If he doesn't break it then, it will happen at a road game and we may or may not get to see it in person.

Today Saunders was Jim Elllis' guest at the State-UAB game.  I can't wait to hear the replay of what he said on-air.  Let me guess: it was stellar.  He and Jordan have been doing some secret McCarty pottery shopping for someone who loves it.

I will be happy for spring!

My Mother Would Be Proud!

She loved to decorate for everything and Superbowl XLIV would be no exception! She would have put Mardi Gras beads all over my McCarty bunnies. The mask came from Dollar Tree. They had the best napkins and square paper plates. I will have to take a picture of them as well.

Really Beautiful Flowers I Found at Fresh Market

I don't know their names but these flowers were the only purple ones in Fresh Market and I thought they looked so pretty in that vase.
